Somatic Discovery
+ The Sacred Art of Play
embodied explorations in movement, play + healing
These workshops offer embodiment practices and creativity building exercises that create a container to unlock more creative flow and access to intuitive instincts. Approaches support participants to develop somatic awareness with the help of healing modalities and encourages creatives (of all kinds) to deepen their relationship with their inner world, their body and their work in the world.
The body is both the playground and the teacher.
Embodiment and play is an exploration of presence + relationship.
Explorations and activities support participants in activating creative self expression by cultivating more energetic, somatic and sensory awareness. Exercises open you to a kind of play that is sacred and inherently connects us more closely with our creative flow and intuitive instincts.
Approaches will guide you to activate your awareness of the inner communication dynamics living within you so that you can better hear your instincts. We will immerse ourselves in exercises with self, partners and the whole group to conjure the healing power of gathering and co-regulating with others. This is a practice in embodying your unique energy while in connection to others in order to find interpersonal balance as an individual within a group
Expressing our embodiment loosens the load we may be carrying.
This work supports participants to unlock hidden stories ready to evolve so that you can find more authenticity wanting to be expressed through the body, the senses and language.
Learning to embody ourselves through play deepens our ability to perceive our own presence.
Our capacity for play is our deepest medicine. Play supports our nervous system and helps us to access deeper sensations in the connection between body, mind and soul. It shakes up what needs shaking up and opens portals to other worlds and expanded consciousness.
In these workshops we explore embodiment + ‘ play ’ through guided energy healing, breathwork, improvisational games and creative practices including movement, sound and writing to connect us more closely with our creative life force and our ability to heal.
A kind of play that is sacred and inherently connects us to something larger than ourselves.
Workshops are created with the intention to:
Strengthen the connection between the body and its energy field
Set free deeper expressions of the creative voice living in the unconscious
Increase awareness of holding patterns and trauma held in the body that create stuck or stagnate energy
MOVE that energy and find flow by tuning into sensation, instinct and inherent creativity
Support the nervous system through guided practices that support balance and co-regulation
Build awareness of self within a group dynamic and deepen the capacity to be seen
Learn how to access play and joy to set free the inner child
More deeply connect to your instincts and life force
Build trust in your creative process (for artists and non-artists)
The healing power of play opens up an access point to our awareness of the life force energy moving through us.
>>> Music becomes more powerful when there’s more room to feel
>>> Writing comes through different when there’s more room for you to hear
>>> The flow of ideas come out faster, clearer, bolder when you’re able to cognitively utilize the depths of your instincts from an embodied place
>>> Our ability to access who we truly are and our joy is easier to embody
This is for anyone looking to bring more embodiment into their approach to healing, art-making and deepening their connection with others. All experience levels welcome.
